Cookies & storage

This page explains what GeoScore stores in your browser and why. It does not constitute legal advice.

Necessary storage: always active

These are required for GeoScore to work correctly. They are not used for tracking and cannot be disabled.

gs_session

Cookie

Keeps you signed in to your GeoScore account.

gs-theme

localStorage

Remembers your dark/light theme preference.

gs-analytics-consent

localStorage

Stores your analytics consent decision so we remember it on return visits.

Functional support chat

We use Crisp to provide customer support and collect product feedback. When you open the chat, Crisp creates a functional session so your conversation can continue as you move between pages or return to the website. Crisp is a support tool, not analytics or advertising, and is not affected by your analytics cookie choice below.

crisp-client/*

Cookie (third-party, Crisp)

Maintains your support conversation. Set only once you manually open the chatbox, not before.

What Crisp may process

  • Your IP address and conversation content
  • Any contact details or files you choose to provide in the chat
  • The page you're on, sent as a plain path (never the full URL, query string or any token)

Data retention

Functional chat cookies may last up to six months. We use conversation data only to respond to questions, investigate issues and improve GeoScore.

Analytics cookies: optional

With your permission, GeoScore uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to understand how people use the site and to improve it.

What Google Analytics collects

  • Pages visited and how long you stay
  • Approximate location (country only)
  • Device type and browser
  • How you arrived at GeoScore (referrer)

What it does NOT collect

  • Your name, email address or any personal details
  • The specific domain or company you checked
  • Your AI visibility scores or results

Data retention

Analytics data is retained as configured in Google Analytics 4. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4.

Google Analytics is only loaded after you accept analytics cookies. It is not present on the page by default.

Your rights

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time using the link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent prevents future data collection; it does not delete data already sent to Google Analytics. Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent you from using support chat.

You can request access to, or deletion of, your support chat conversation or any other data GeoScore holds by emailing [email protected].

This page is informational and does not constitute legal advice. If you have questions about how GeoScore handles your data, contact [email protected].
